Murhula's Story

Murhula is 15 now. He joined the militia when he was 10. He told me of his hard days in the training camp where he stayed up all night as a guard and was not allowed to sleep for days. He actively participated in battles at a young age. He described to me how he was forced to kill and to take drugs. Murhula is now living in a village in eastern Congo, and his life has been deeply transformed. He has friends and a family, now, and hopes to go to school.
