Christmas is a special moment for everyone; we remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a moment of rejoicing and celebration all over the world. Christmas is also a special time for children. They enjoy opening their gifts and spending time with their families. Christmas is definitely a moment that children anxiously expect every year. The smile of a child opening their gifts is priceless, and the smallest things make them happy. This is what led Mwangaza International to start a Christmas project to bring the same joy on the faces of the people of Congo. Since 2005, we have done our best to make Christmas a special moment in DR Congo. The Lord has blessed us to keep this going for 6 years now. We started with a meal and toothbrushes and today we are able to reach out to hundreds of people in the city in Kinshasa and in the province of South Kivu. From orphanages to hospitals or the prison, with different activities we make sure that Christmas is a moment of joy, a break from the hardship of their everyday lives. This year we want to do the same: we want to brighten their lives by sharing with them what little thing we have. It is our way to bring to life using Isaiah 43:4a as our theme for the project.
